Joel Cabanban Inducted into the WBC Craftsman Hall of Fame
- On November 23, 2021
Gaithersburg Architectural Millwork is pleased to announce Joel “Joey” Cabanban has been selected to represent the Woods & Plastic division in the 2021 WBC Craftsman Hall of Fame.
“Founded in 2008, the Craftsman Hall of Fame currently showcases 44 individuals who serve as exceptional examples of professionalism and dedication in our industry.” This award recognizes their extreme skill and dedication to their trade. WBC is proud to honor and elevate the people who do the work. Each inductee’s story is told through a video narrative which serves as an inspirational platform that creates visibility within the industry to encourage future generations of craftsmen as well as to provide information to the public about the construction trades.
Joey recently celebrated his 20-year anniversary at GAM but, truth be told, he was with us at the very beginning, when our founder Steve Smith moved the facility to Virginia. Joey speaks fondly of those early years as a fun bonding experience, working late at night on a project until it was completed. Back then, the people who built the millwork would also be the same people to install it. Today, the process has changed but people have not. GAM still operates as a family; a family that continues to grow as new members join us.
Congratulations on this much deserved award, Joey! We are so immensely proud of you and the work you do on behalf of the GAM family!
